After finishing his studies of German linguistic and journalism in Frankfurt/Main and Duesseldorf, he worked as a local newspaper editor in Duesseldorf. In 1991 he moved to New York City and subsequently was employed by Hubert Burda Media in New York as a reporter for the German edition of Forbes, as well as the news magazine Focus. During the following years he advised Hubert Burda Media with the adaptation of online technologies into the publishing business, established the Internet consulting newsletter "What's Next" and organized numerous visits of high-ranking publishing executives to the United States. From 1998 to 2001, as a senior editor at the German business magazine Impulse in Cologne he was responsible for the coverage of management and information technology. Since his return to the United States he has been the US-correspondent for the Swiss business magazine Bilanz reporting about all aspects of business. Besides that, he contributes frequently to magazines such as Wirtschaftswoche, Business 2,0, Weltwoche, Facts, ThinkAct (Roland Berger), Cebit 01, IWC Watch INTERNATIONAL and Ahead from Microsoft. Since January 2006 as editor-in-chief he is responsible for the editorial content of the German-language tourism and investor magazine Florida Sun Magazine. |
